Information That We May Collect from You and About You
Our primary goal in collecting information from you is to provide you with the Service, to communicate with you, and to manage your account if you have one. Other uses will be discussed herein.
The Information That You Provide to Us at Registration
When you create an account with Vaporstream, you provide us with certain information, such as your username, your phone number (e.g., for use to verify registration via SMS text messaging), a profile picture, and/or other information that you decide to provide to us and/or that we may require from time to time.
You may create, post, use, transmit, distribute, upload, store, and/or otherwise submit content (each, a “Vaporstream Message”) that may include, but is not limited to, photos, text, graphics, and other materials (collectively, “User Content”) when using the Service for viewing by one or more other intended users of the Service. For example, a Vaporstream Message may include some or all of the User Content and will be delivered for viewing by one or more other users of the Service.
Information That We Collect from Your Usage of the Services
When you use the Service, we collect certain information about your activity and the Vaporstream Messages that you send and receive. This information may include the intended recipients of messages from you, senders of messages to you, dates of a message, times of a message, information about your interactions with messages, information about attempts to screen capture (e.g., by a recipient of your message(s) or by you), information about which contacts you interact. This information may also include information about the specific device you use to access the Service, such as IP address, operating system, Internet browser type, language, other applications running on your device, hardware type, MAC address or another unique identifier, network information, device phone number, mobile carrier, and location. When you access our website we collect log information, including your IP address, referring websites, prior websites that you may have visited, browser type and version, browser language, operating system, access times, and pages viewed.
Information Collected from Tracking Technologies
We use session identifiers, web beacons, cookies, and other tracking technologies. Such technologies include small data files and small programs on our website and other areas of our Service that track and store information about your interactions with the Service and web traffic routing. We may do so in any portion of the Service including our website and a Vaporstream application. We may utilize third-party service providers to perform data tracking and analytics using various tracking technologies. Usually, an Internet browser is set by default to accept cookies. Internet browsers may allow a user to set preferences for cookies or other tracking technologies, such as by disabling cookies or limiting them in other ways. If you disable particular tracking technologies (such as cookies), please note that some areas of the Service may not fully function or function properly.
When you use the Service, we may collect and process information about your actual location. We use various technologies to determine location, including IP address, GPS, and other sensors that may, for example, provide Vaporstream with information on nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points, and cell towers.
Information About Your Contacts and Photos
Information from Other Sources
We may collect information about you from other sources. For example, we may match information about you (such as your address, if it’s missing from our records) that we obtain from publicly and privately available sources of other information that we receive from you. Additionally, information about you may be in a database of contacts provided to us by another user. We may combine information collected directly from you with information from another user’s contact database, and information that we have collected about you from external sources.

How Your Information is Used and Shared
Operation of the Service
We use your information to provide you the Service. This may include, but is not limited to, using your information to:
- Communicate with you about the Service, third parties, other products, other services, your questions, your comments, notices related to the Service, customer service, and other information;
- Verify your identity;
- Improve, modify, develop the Service and features therein;
- Provide you with advertisements;
- Pre-populate user entry forms;
- Prevent fraud or unauthorized activity;
- Process Vaporstream Messages; and
- Provide the Service and functionality that you request.
How We Share and Distribute Your Information
When you send a Vaporstream Message to one or more recipients, the recipients will receive your username, your profile picture, other message information, and the User Content that is included with the Vaporstream Message.
When another user of the Service searches for you, adds you as a user, or interacts with your account in another fashion, that user may receive your username and/or your profile picture.
We also reserve the right to use and share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information regarding our users with our business partners.
Law Enforcement and Harm
Vaporstream Message Deletion
Each time a user sends a Vaporstream Message, she/she is choosing to send User Content over our Service to one or more recipients who will see the content and may choose to distribute that content to additional people or to post it more openly on the Internet. We are not responsible for how your User Content is handled by your recipients. Please consider this carefully when creating a Vaporstream Message. By default, our Service is designed and configured to delete all Vaporstream Messages after they have been viewed by the intended recipient(s) on both the Vaporstream servers and recipient device. However, we cannot guarantee such deletion (due to compliance with certain laws and regulations, archiving and/or pursuant to requests received by Vaporstream by authorized law enforcement). Additionally, certain features of the Service allow a user to employ screen capture prevention techniques (such as by dividing an image into multiple portions for separated display to a recipient). We cannot guarantee that a recipient will not take actions to circumvent such techniques in order to screen capture, save, or otherwise create an image of the User Content contained within a Vaporstream Message. Additionally, deleted data on a storage device may be recovered using means of reconstructing deleted digital data.
- We encrypt many aspects of our Service using SSL.
- We review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
- We restrict access of our users’ personal information to Vaporstream employees, contractors, and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.
We work hard to protect Vaporstream and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold. In particular:
